Navarro in his new novel investigates the possibility that the fervent fascist Ezra Pound was a double agent

El Duce should be thinking more about the Abyssinians bomb in that verse and songs, Giovinezza, but Pound's response seemed pump (!) and included in Canto 41 of his magnum opus. How do you explain that a great poet and sensible (if we except his hair) and Ezra Pound became a devoted fan of a guy like Mussolini, who betrayed his country (USA) and anti-Semitic diatribes launched nauseous from Radio Roma as a lyrical look-alike of Lord Haw-Haw?

In his new novel, Spy (Anagram), Justo Navarro (Granada, 1953) is home to several historical signs and absurd extravagance of some of the attitudes of Pound to build a compelling story about possibility, already mentioned by some scholars that the poet-traitor was actually an American spy and double agent. "As a poet is a core value for the twentieth-century literature," says Navarro, "but from the moral point of view, the mind that is expressed in their utterances radio is disgusting."
Ezra Pound is mixed. "It was an admirable man in many respects, a good person who drove the race of Joyce, TS Eliot and Hemingway (not to mention practicing fencing with the old Yeats).
